Magnum photographer Martin Parr is a favorite of mine. So you can understand my excitement when I saw on Kickstarter that Neal Broffmann is working on a documentary titled, “Hot Spots: Martin Parr in the American South.” While the title of the film is pretty self-explanatory, I encourage you to check out Broffmann’s kickstarter.
Not familiar with Martin Parr? As Broffmann states in his pitch, “Parr is revered for the irony, social commentary and humor embedded in his photography.”
In this gallery on LightBox, Martin Parr went to the industrial town of Walsall and documented the Royal Wedding festivities back in April.
